Amy Winehouse Found Dead In Her London Home

Fans mourn this weekend as the influential jazz singer, Amy Winehouse, has died, her record label can reveal.

Winehouse was found dead in her London flat at around 4:00 Saturday afternoon. The stretch of road where she lived was fenced off by police while an investigation into the cause of her death went underway, although it is believed that she died from a drug overdose.

Her father, Mitch Winehouse, spoke in 2008 of how Amy had health problems, presumably made worse by substance abuse.

The singer was just as famous for her drug problems, erratic behavior and and rocky relationships as she was for her music.

The path of self-destruction that she seemed to follow led to her writing some of her most memorable songs, including Rehab, You Know I'm No Good and Love Is A Losing Game.

Her second album, Back To Black was nominated for multiple awards and went platinum in 22 countries.
